If you have ever been the least bit interested in taking a peak into the secret lives of gossip bloggers and media personalities, you’re about to have your wish granted and your curiosity quenched. VH1 recently released the roster of shows that will be appearing on their spring schedule and one of them happens to be a new show that will be produced by “Love & Hip Hop’s” Mona Scott-Young entitled, The Gossip Game. According to the network’s press release, the show will provide viewers with a glimpse into the lives of seven well-known and ambitious media personalities.
The Gossip Game’s starring lineup includes: Kim Osorio, Editor-in-Chief of The Source; Angela Yee, co-host of Power 105.1′s The Breakfast Club, K.Foxx, co-host of Hot 97′s The Cipha Sounds & Rosenburg Show with K.Foxx; Sharon Carpenter of Global Grind; Vibe columnist, JasFly; Ms. Drama, host of Ms Drama TV blog and Vivian Billings of Hip Hop Gossip Site.
Judging by the press release, it appears that this show will play on the competitive landscape of the media industry, as many of the aforementioned cast members are rivals and ultimately duking it out with one another to get the latest exclusives and “preserve their place in the pecking order.”
The Gossip Game is executive produced by Brian Flanagan, Matthew Ostrom, Laura Palumbo Johnson and Sean Lee on behalf of Magilla Entertainment, Tone Boots and Jay Griffin for District Media and Mona Scott-Young for Monami Entertainment, Tom Ciaccio, in addition to a VH1 production team.
The show is scheduled to premiere Monday, April 1st at 9:00 pm EST and a few of the gossip girls are already buzzing about it.
